Mitigation Tips

PDR will work as promptly as possible to restore your property. In order to protect your investment, you must mitigate any further damage while waiting for your insurance adjuster or our team to get to you. Here are the first steps you'll need to take after water has invaded your home or business:

  1. Be sure that your electricity is off until the damage to electrical circuits has been determined
  2. Photograph the damage inside and out
  3. Sweep, scrape or mop out as much water as possible
  4. Remove all rugs, carpets and padding to the outside of your home
  5. Turn your air conditioner as low as you can to remove more water from the air
  6. Bring in floor fans and dehumidifiers
  7. Use a bleach solution to clean any surfaces contaminated with flood water
